Well......it's been awhile and happy birthday Kelly

It has been almost a year since I have wrote. I have many excuses as to why I haven't but it doesn't change the fact, so I will just leave it at that.

My oldest daughter, Kelly, turns 27 tomorrow!!! I honestly can't believe it. I know everybody says and feels the same way, but I honestly don't know where the time has gone. It's like you turn your back for just five minutes and she went from this shy and clingy little girl to this grown, confident young lady. Kelly has turned into a quite remarkable young lady in spite of me at times. Sometimes you think you know your children and then they will come back and surprise you! She is one of the most tenderhearted and compassionate nurses I have ever known. She is a hospice nurse and she loves her patients and they love her. I believe it is a calling to do that kind of work - I sure couldn't do some of the things she does. She has gone through some changes this past year and handled it with more dignity and grace that I think I could have myself. She has recently changed jobs and bought her first home all by herself. I am so proud of my baby girl.
